The breakup

I sold my car. And now I am car-less, in LA (I know I thought about that and that too).

The truth is: in the age of ride-sharing, smarter cities, and giving-a-damn-about-the-planet, I cannot understand why so many people are so car dependent. I'll make an exception for EV, fuel-cell (hi to the 10 of you in SoCal) and carpool drivers.

I feel so liberated now. All I need is my bike, my mobile, and my Vans to get around. I live close to plenty of jobs, stores and just two blocks from the metro.

So goodbye, gas station (I never liked you anyway).

Kick rocks, maintenance man (you always lied to me).

New phone who dis, DMV (the list of offenses go on and on).

Five years in LA and never switched plates. Oh well.

Give me space, insurance.

You're too much, parking.

Deuces, car wash.

I'll be back in the car market when I can share an autonomous car with a partner, friend or stranger.

Change is good.
